“Dancing with Purpose” is a central value of the Atlantic Ballet of Canada whose innovative programs, in addition to being recognized internationally for their artistic beauty, create opportunities for community dialogue and mobilization. With its company of international professional dancers, the Atlantic Ballet company performs original works that that are grounded in issues that we face today. During the pandemic, Atlantic Ballet courageously led the country, as the only dance organization performing on-stage. An outdoor performance series, Ballet by The Ocean, was set in a spectacular natural wetland with the Northumberland Straight as the backdrop. Afternoon performances were opened to non-profits organizations to offer a safe space and a beautiful experience in the face of COVID-19 challenges.
