Up to 70% of Canada’s wetlands have been lost, primarily due to settlement and other development. Saving these environments, and the waterfowl and other wildlife that rely upon them, has been the mission of Ducks Unlimited Canada (DUC) for more than 80 years. DUC is one of Canada’s longest-standing environmental organizations delivering conservation, educational, and advocacy programs across the country. The McCain Foundation has supported DUC since 2014 providing funds for experiential educational programs such as “Grade 4 Wetland Field Trips” that encourage young people to become environmental advocates.
