The McCain Foundation provides support for the Elephant Thoughts Educational Initiative which delivers career training for youth-at-risk at the Pathsaala Training Camp in Perth-Andover, New Brunswick. Indigenous and minority youth, who are often are experiencing homelessness or violence, participate in life-skills workshops in a safe and healing natural environment. After completing the Elephant Thoughts program, 85% of participants are reported to return to school or find employment.
