Hope Blooms is the remarkable story of how empowered youth can change their community. Through Hope Bloom’s social enterprises that are created and developed by young people, Halifax’s north end is now home to a community centre, garden, and kitchen that is having a measurable impact on food security, education achievement, social inclusion and poverty. The McCain Foundation supports Hope Blooms’ youth leadership programs that provide the development of skills and competencies upon which local programs continue to be delivered.
